This training is for professionals who are interested in applying for the Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), the
Certified Family Recovery Specialist (CFRS) and/or the Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor (CRSS) through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB). While most concepts apply to both certifications, there will be times where it is noted/called out for differences/additions. The main purpose of certification is public protection: to ensure individuals are not harmed in any way while receiving recovery support services.
Once certified, Recovery Specialists are held to a Code of Ethics. While the credential is active, the Code must always be adhered to – even if the Recovery Specialist is no longer providing recovery support services.
The Worx! is now providing Private and Public Trainings to individuals and/or organizations who are interested.
For more information please feel free to contact Toccarra Williams, MSW, CFRS, CRS by email at Toccarra@theworx.us

Drug and Alcohol Level of Care Assessment is a face-to-face evaluation of the client to ascertain treatment needs based upon the degree and severity of alcohol and other drug use, as well as the social, physical, and psychological effects of the substance use. The drug and alcohol level of care assessment identifies the strengths and needs of the client in order to determine the appropriate service and/or treatment modality.
The assessment includes the application of the Pennsylvania Client Placement Critieria (PCPC) for clients age 21 and above, or the American Society of Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria Revised (ASAM PPC 2R) criteria for clients under the age of 21 to determine the appropriate level of care.
