OVERVIEW

The Worx, is located in the McKees Rocks Bottoms, Allegheny County. We are a mobile team with the ability to services individuals in their home, the community or current setting (i.e., jail, treatment facility, halfway house, shelter, etc.). We offer in person, telehealth/video one on one sessions and group sessions.

Our programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps participants reach their goals and fulfill their potential. 

One of our top priorities is to protect and maintain the health of our participants and our staff members

Our Champions (Participants) are paired with CHAMPS, who guide, motivate and offer support when needed. Together, we navigate and secure resources that are essential to sustaining a healthy, purposeful, productive quality of life.

CRS/CPS Workshops (Group Sessions)  

Our groups and workshops provide practical informative tangible supportive techniques, promoting positive coping skills, trauma informed care, restorative healing, self-efficacy and economic stability. Our self-developed innovated curriculums derive from shared lived experience and lack of targeted supportive resource for marginalized populations.

*I’M MMAD! (I’m Managing My Anger Differently)-is a workshop designed to assist individuals with acknowledging and validating their feelings while regulating their emotions and actions. This group offers positive cognitive perspective, promoting healthy outcomes to barriers and triggers. Utilizing Coping Restructuring techniques, individuals are guided on how redirect negative sentiments by diverting the thoughts and feelings into empowering, purposeful activities (i.e. exercising, mediation, journaling, etc.). I’m MMAD! enhances overall well-being while reducing stress in the home, the community and in the workplace.

*P.W.I.D (Purpose With Intent to Deliver)-helps former drug dealers who want to make a positive change, learn their “Why” and repurpose their lives. This group focuses on accountability and empathy while addressing impulses, craving and triggers surrounding criminal lifestyle.
